Peach Protein Breakfast Tea

A light drink to get your day started.



 

It has been another hot week so far here in Omaha. I prefer a nice sandy beach if it is going to be this hot. Sweet salty ocean waves crashing onto the shore, ahh paradise. But alas there are no oceans here. And when it is this hot nobody really feels like eating. So this drink recipe will give you protein for the morning yet it feels so light that even on a hot morning it is enjoyable. This recipe is also sugar and dairy free, so an added plus!


Ingredients:

1 peach cut in chunks

2 Tbsp. stevia

Green tea 10 oz.

2 Tbsp. protein powder (any brand will do)


Directions:

Brew the green tea and let it cool for about five minutes. Once the tea has cooled slightly add it and all of the ingredients into a blender and mix until the peach is blended thoroughly. Now pour it in a glass with a little ice and top it with a straw (just for fun) and enjoy!


Tips:

The stevia can be replaced with any sweetener.
