A delicious keto pie crust for those special occasions!
Recently some of my family has started a diet where you do not eat gluten. Of course that would mean no pie. Terrible! So this nut crust is the alternative I have. There are many recipes similar to this but the big difference is the use of walnuts. Most people will choose almonds or pecans for a gluten free pie crust. In my opinion though the walnuts just taste better!
Ingredients:
1 cup walnut flour
2 Tbsp Xylitol
¼ tsp. Salt
3 Tbsp. Butter
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Melt the butter, xylitol, and salt in a small pot over medium heat.
Add the walnut flour to the melted butter and stir until well mixed. Press the crust into a pie plate and bake for fifteen minutes.
Now you just need to add your favorite filling and Voilà! A delicious gluten free and keto pie.
